Updating partition details
The OTA package server, however, should not require changes: update packages are still served over HTTPS.For devices using Google's OTA infrastructure, the system changes are all in AOSP, and the client code is provided by Google Play services.I want to understand how statistics work on Oracle partitioned tables. Is it possible to gather statistics on a specific table partition? As an example, you can gather the global statistics on a partitioned table, or you can gather global and partition-level statistics. :' SET LINES 130ttitle ' Table Partition Statistics For &owner1' BREAK ON table_owner ON table_name ON partition_name SPOOL tab_part_SELECT table_name, partition_name,num_rows, blocks,avg_space,chain_cnt,avg_row_len, Avg Num Avg Chain Row Table Partition Rows Blocks Space Count Length Analyzed -------- ---------- ------- -------- -------- ------- --------------–––––TEST5 Q1_1997 0 0 0 0 0 09-may-1999 Q2_1997 0 0 0 0 0 09-may-1999 Q3_1997 0 0 0 0 0 09-may-1999 Q4_1997 0 0 0 0 0 09-may-1999 Q1_1998 0 0 0 0 0 09-may-1999 rows column, the partition needs to be rebuilt. If any partition is out of balance (excessive rows when filled in comparison to other partitions), then perhaps that partition needs to be split. For more information about A/B system updates and how they work, see Partition selection (slots).
Oracle 11g and beyond also supports Partition Exchange Load (PEL) which is used to add data to the a table, but only the newly added partition must be scanned to update the global statistics. aggregated were used to reduce the overhead of running dbms_stats on partitioned objects.Usually, Oracle8i automatically names the partitions created as sub-partitions, unless a sub-partition is specifically added to an existing set of partitions and sub-partitions.The report below demonstrates how to extricate the sub-partition information from the database data dictionary. Also see my notes on using dbms_stats.copy_table_stats for partitioned tables.
To use incremental statistics for a partitioned table, the "incremental=TRUE" keyword must be set.
OEMs not using Google's OTA infrastructure will be able to reuse the AOSP system code but will need to supply their own client.
